David has extensive experience in the management and acquisition process. David is one of the co- founders of Tradewind Aviation, a charter and management company and scheduled-commuter luxury airline that launched a successful new and successful concept in private travel. Tradewind is based in Connecticut and the Caribbean and operates over 18 Pilatus PC-12 aircraft and a variety of jets. David is also the co-founder of Zen Air, a Part-135 Management and Charter company with offices in NY, London and San Francisco that managed long-range jet aircraft such as Challengers and Gulfstream GIV, GV and G550s located throughout the world.
With over 11,000 hours of flying time, David holds an ATP Certificate and is type-rated in Gulfstream G-II, G-III, G-IV, GV, G450 and G550 aircraft. He was for numerous years a French DGAC Designated-Examiner for the St Barth airport. A partner in Air One, his previous experience includes stints in the financial industry and founding an airline leasing and spare-parts company. He is also a sought-after consultant in aviation matters for P.E. funds looking to invest in aviation. A U.S. citizen, David was born in Switzerland and lived in Belgium, Portugal, Turkey, Venezuela, Brazil, St Barth and the U.S. He speaks 7 languages and read history and economics at Vassar College. He is also an aviation journalist and the VNE columnist of Altitude Magazine, a leading aviation magazine distributed throughout the world outside the United States
